With vsync, actually with a lot of games it only runs like 1500 mhz anyway and doesn't even need to go higher. (It was boosting to about 1930 mhz on it's own out of the box without touching anything) and I expect it to last me a long, long time. I have it set +60 Mhz in PrecisionX-OC, but with Boost 3.0 that actually results in a 2012 mhz overclock. I bought my 1080 Ti a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Im keeping it at 1900mhz and hoping it will work until 1070 prices drop. Good to know that it doesnt void the warantee. I have not seen much mention of voltage for the GTX 1080 but in EVGA Precision X as well as power target there is a voltage slider that goes between 0 and 100. How much is really not possible to determine. However, you should bear in mind that -ANY- overclock over stock of any setting, -WILL- shorten the lifespan of the card by some degree. And all nvidia pascal cards are voltage locked and it can not be increased.Īs long as you're using an EVGA card and have registered it on the website, overclocking it via software will not void your warranty so no worries.
